The Lenoir-Rhyne Promise (LR Promise) is a Lenoir-Rhyne University program focused on making a college degree more affordable, while recognizing the hard work of high-performing students.
*The LR Promise rewards any North Carolina resident who is a transfer undergraduate student with a 3.5 GPA and more than 30 earned credit hours from an accredited North Carolina community college with a financial aid package worth at least 50 percent off the cost of tuition. Federal, state and institutional financial aid will be combined to meet the value of half tuition, but no student or parent loan packages are part of the LR Promise.
First-year undergraduate students with a 3.5 or higher high school GPA also qualify for LR Promise.
*All criteria must be met at time of admittance to qualify for the LR Promise.

Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Bridges to Dreams program is designed to assist current LR undergraduate students toward completion of a graduate degree. Through dual enrollment, qualified LR undergraduates may begin graduate courses while still completing an undergraduate degree.
Current LR students may enroll in up to 12 credit hours of graduate-level coursework provided they meet the academic criteria for admission and are accepted into the program. These graduate courses may be used to meet both undergraduate and graduate degree.
